Here are some suggestions on how and where to use these models:

– Educational

Each week of development is awe-inspiring!
Included with the first trimester 3d models is a pdf containing facts about each stage of development, which can be printed, and each section used as presentation mat for your 3d prints. An excellent education tool for young and old alike!

– Awareness

Engage your senses in the miracle of life.
Give models to friends, family, or anyone that may be enriched by holding these developing babies in the palm of their hand.
See how early in the development the baby takes on a human form.

– Commemorative

These models are also monuments that honors lost children. Theirs is a story that lives on in the hearts of their loved ones forever. Many hours of care and craftsmanship have been put into the development of this project, with the aim to capture a depth of character and personality within each model for families to hold.

– Announcements

As our meal was coming to an end with my parents, my wife gave me the cue. “Why don’t you show your parents your latest 3D print?”
I pulled from my pocket a 9 weeks pregnant baby model and placed it in front of my family on the table. I said nervously, “Hey, I printed this new model I wanted to show you. Do you know what it is?” My mom replied “Oh how cute! It’s a little baby”, not yet understanding the significance. “Yeah! It’s the size of our baby right now!” I said. Their jaws dropped and soon burst into laughter and tears while holding the little model in the palm of their hands.

– Sentimental

My wife and I waited in the midwife’s examination room, not knowing exactly what to expect. This was our first pregnancy and had not seen an ultrasound up close, other than researching it online. The nurse came in, prepared the instrument for the ultrasound and started searching for the “little peanut” as she affectionately referred to him or her. We were completely astounded once we laid eyes on what was once hidden away. The baby stretched and danced on screen with a performance that will forever outshine all others. That moment alone was life changing. The nurse measured the baby then printed out a couple blobby ultrasound pictures for us to take home. At home, I scaled the corresponding week’s baby model to the measurements the nurse gave and 3d printed it out. We can’t wait to hold our baby in our arms, but for now I have a tangible reminder placed on my desk at work.
